You're not alone Fyr! I've read half of Gracling, and I get so annoyed by different countries having different covers. I usually find american covers are way nicer than the british ones. Though Gracling's british cover isn't too bad because the girl looks cool

I agree about the cover, the British one for Graceling looks cool. Good book though, you should finish it! (Just realized that you called me Fyr. Not sure if that was a mistake or not, but I kinda like it for him.)

They are really cool books, I love them a lot :3 Though I'm bad at book descriptions, so bare with me, ahah

Okay, so the Legend series follows two opposing characters. June is a smart, capable girl who is fortunate to be part of the richer sector and go to a military school. While Day, on the other hand, is a street boy that has a lot of cunning street smarts and is able to escape the law because he's so smooth and quite talented.

The story basically starts when June's brother is killed (not a spoiler, it's on the back of the book) and she has been tasked to find the killer and bring them to justice. The first book is basically uncovering the mystery behind her brother's death and some more stuff which I wont say because I don't want to spoil it.

It's set in a dystopian America where at the age of 10, every kid has to take a test to see where they place. June having good marks was placed on the military track, while others with lower marks get lower forms of eduction, or none at all.

Soooo yeah, that's the roughish background and stuff to the book :3 I wont explain the other two because they're an obvious carry on from the first, and it will definitely spoil it if I do

Sounds interesting... I may have to give them a chance.

Oh, and since this is a book discussion, anyone ever read Flowers for Algernon? The actual novel? If you haven't, totally recommend it, it'll rip your heart out. :'D

In short, without giving too much away, it's about a man who was born with being mentally slow, and his intelligence was tripled thanks to an operation. He wasn't smart the next day, but he began to learn and grow, and the book is about what happens to his life as he catalogs it in "progress reports" (the book is like a compilation of his journal entries). It's really interesting, total 5 stars.

I've heard of Flowers for Algernon. I'll get to read it next year for honors language arts. Sound like it'll be a great read.
