Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by Titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest Titans. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a Titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy, Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a Colossal Titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller Titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as people are eaten eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single Titan and take revenge for all of mankind. Nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards (2011) and won the Kodansha Manga Award shōnen category (2011). In English, the series is roughly translated to 'Attack on Titan'.
So guys, has anyone seen this amazing show?! It's utterly brilliant. I've never loved an anime or tv show as much as I love this show. It's got me gripped on the edge of my seat in every single ep! I've never felt so much emotion from a show before. They really show what a war is like. How hard it is and not once do you consider the characters as weak for crying- You feel for them so much. The characters are so good too. I love how each character varies in fighting styles, personalities and how they view the world. I seriously love it so much. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. Though, I warn ya, it's pretty gory.
Currently it's still in Japanese, but it's subbed. The voice acting too is amazing. Oh man, Eren's voice!!!Gah! So cool!
