Percy is a troubled twelve year old boy. Being a teenage boy is hard enough. However, Percy is diving head first into the biggest adventure of his life when he accidently vaporizes his maths teacher. Now monsters are out to kill him! On top of all that Percy must find the missing lightning bolt to save the ones he loves. However, not everything is as black and white as it seems.

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love PJ books. There are two series and I prefer the second one, but you must read the first to truly love the second series. Percy develops beautifully!

Anyone can love this series. Whether it be a 10 year old to your great nan. This book will have you laughing, crying and gripping the edge of your seat.

What got you so interested in the Percy Jackson series anyway?

Well, it all started on my 15th birthday. I wanted to go and see a film called 'The wolfman', but one of my friends wasn't old enough to go. We tried to sneak him in, but they wouldn't let us. So we sat around and Rebby suggested that we go see 'Percy Jackson'. I had no clue to what it was about, but agreed.

Turns out I really enjoyed the film. I later found out that Rebby had the books. I borrowed them of her and really enjoyed it. However, I didn't fall in love with the series until 'Heroes of Olympus' came out. That's when I really started to love Rick's work. :3
